MANGALORE STYLE CHICKEN URVAL

Ingredients:

- 500 grams chicken, cut into pieces

- 2 onions, finely chopped

- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped

- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 tablespoon red chili powder

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon cumin powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- Salt to taste

- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

- Lemon wedges for serving


Instructions:

1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.

2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.

3. Add the tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.

4. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.

5. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are tender and cooked through.

6. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.

7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

8. Serve hot with rice or roti, and lemon wedges on the side.
