SHAHI PANEER
Oh, Shahi Paneer! That's one of my favourite dishes too! It's a rich and creamy Indian curry made with paneer cheese, cashews, and a blend of aromatic spices. It's delicious! Have you tried making it at home or do you prefer enjoying it at a restaurant? 😊🍛
Ingredients:
- 200 grams paneer (cottage cheese), cubed
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter) or oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup cashews, soaked in water
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
2. Drain the soaked cashews and add them to a blender along with the ginger-garlic paste. Blend until smooth.
3. Add the cashew paste to the pan and cook for a minute.
4. Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
5. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well.
6. Add the paneer cubes and gently mix them into the gravy. Cook for a few minutes.
7. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
Enjoy your homemade Shahi Paneer! Let me know if you have any other questions. 😄🍛
