CHICKEN MANCHURIAN

Here's a simple recipe for Chicken Manchurian:
Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 capsicum, finely chopped
- 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- Spring onions, for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, chilli sauce, cornstarch, black pepper powder, and salt. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Add the chopped onion, capsicum, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté until the vegetables are slightly tender.
4. Return the cooked chicken to the pan and mix well with the vegetables.
5. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1/4 cup water to make a slurry. Pour the slurry into the pan and stir well to coat the chicken and vegetables.
6. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken evenly.
7. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
